台灣特有種魚類有91種，其中有16種即將瀕臨絕種。台灣因河川整治工程及棲地破壞，導致特有種魚類本身就稀少，逐漸在減少當中，甚至已經不見。本專題研究以台灣瀕臨絕種的16種魚類為設計主題，以一般大眾認知為設計目標對象。設計項目分為三大項，第一項目為魚類既有生長環境認知(以海洋與河川海域、台灣二葉松、軟珊瑚…等等)；第二項目為各種魚類遭受破壞的原因(建水壩、道路拓寬、挖土機過度開墾、漁網不小心捕撈等等)；第三項目為說明書設計，裡面有組合式展示盒組裝步驟和環境因素模型圖
第一、二設計項目，主要設計兩種不同系列分別為生長環境與破壞因素，採用連環圖設計模式，以自由多種DIY組合方式來呈現，藉由遊戲互動中，來認識魚類樣貌及進一步了解他們生長環境與正面臨瀕臨絕種的原因。

Unrestricted Freedom

There are 91 species of fish endemic to Taiwan, 16 of which are on the verge of extinction. Due to the impact of river management projects and habitat destruction in Taiwan, endemic fish species are rare, or even extinct as fish species gradually decline.
The study was done with 16 endangered fish species in Taiwan as the design theme and aimed at general public awareness as the design target. The study is divided into three major projects. First, the knowledge of the growth environment for fish species, such as Taiwan red pine, Alcyonacea, ocean, and reservoirs. Second, the reasons for the fish population decline, such as dam building, road widening, over-cultivation, and over-fishing.
The third item is a Instruction manual design, which includes assembly steps for a modular display box and a model diagram illustrating environmental factors.
The first and second projects mainly design two series of plug-in puzzles, which are growth environment and destructive factors. The puzzle will be presented in Lianhuanhua style. By DIY building underwater scenes, users can learn about fish, their growing environment, and the reasons why they are facing extinction.
