在荔枝的年度收成中，常會面臨荔枝椿象等害蟲的危害，使得種植和收成變得更加困難，直接影響了產量和品質，民眾也會因此導致受傷，甚至有誤殺的原生種紅姬緣椿象的問題。為了讓民眾更認識荔枝椿象，本專題以永續農業設計推廣教育為價值核心，我們以外來種荔枝椿象製作每個演化階段的仿真組裝模型及圖文DM，通過插圖和圖文編排的摺頁手冊傳遞關於荔枝椿象相關知識，搭配防治拼圖整合學習成果，能自行體驗與自主學習的教材，達到寓教於樂的目的，為使用者提供全面且具教育性的互動體驗。希望藉由本次專題，使民眾能區分害蟲和一般蟲類，也體會農民在種植中所面臨的辛勞和危險，引起大眾對於荔枝椿象相關教育的價值和重要性的關注，更全面地了解害蟲生態和有效防治方法，並推動農業保育的理念，最終提高農業生產的穩定性和品質。
