頓點

利用科學家在生物上皮組織中發現的一種立體幾何形狀「盾片狀」進行仿生設計，「盾片狀」通常會出現在生物上皮組織內，是細胞為了讓彼此接觸面減到最低、促進組織彎曲而形成的樣式。其上下兩表面為五邊形和六邊形，中間存在一個頂點，形成三角形接面，且銜接的兩面皆為曲面，能將彼此更緊密地結合。
我們使用盾片狀的本體造型以及能讓彼此緊密貼合的直線、曲線排列方式加以組合、融入家居用品設計，為家飾品增添視覺新奇感、造型獨特性。
品牌英文稱為DECOS，其中 DECO 是裝飾的意思，S除了有盾片狀英文首字母的意思之外，也代表了英文中的複數，說明我們產品品項的多樣性。
中文名稱「頓點」，在中文中，當物品不只一項的時候會使用頓點穿插其中，也淺淺的呼應了英文名稱中S有複數意涵的部分，「頓」也同音盾片狀的「盾」，更抱持著使用者能在裝飾好的家中獲得忙碌中的頓號，好好安頓、休息。
材質使用樹脂3D列印光固化後電鍍，成本低、重量輕、成功率高，將設計族群針對平時生活相較平淡、想要用各式各樣具有功能性的家飾品讓居家更美麗舒適的小資族群。

DECOS

Taking inspiration from the three-dimensional geometric shape discovered by scientists in biological epithelial tissues, known as "Scutoid," we have embarked on biomimetic design. "Scutoids" typically manifest within biological epithelial tissues, where cells minimize contact surfaces and promote tissue curvature. They consist of pentagonal and hexagonal surfaces on the top and bottom, with a central vertex forming triangular interfaces, all connecting via curved surfaces to tightly integrate with each other.

We've incorporated the inherent shape of "Scutoids" and their ability to snugly fit together into our designs for household items, enhancing visual novelty and uniqueness in home decor. Our brand, DECOS, derives from "DECO," symbolizing decoration, and "S," besides representing the initial of "Scutoid" in English, also denotes plurality, signifying the diversity of our product offerings.
The Chinese name, "頓點," alludes to the use of punctuation marks in Chinese when there's more than one item, echoing the plural connotation of "S" in the English name. "頓" phonetically resembles the "盾" in "盾片狀," further suggesting a sense of punctuation in the user's busy life, allowing them to settle down and rest comfortably in a well-decorated home.
We utilize resin 3D printing followed by electroplating, offering low cost, lightweight, and high success rates. This caters to the design-conscious demographic, particularly budget-conscious individuals seeking a variety of functional home decor items to make their living spaces more beautiful and comfortable amidst the mundane aspects of everyday life.
