每年海上發生數百起海難事故,其中造成死亡的重要原因之一是失溫,而經過調查發現,目前市面上的救生衣無法有很良好的維持熱度。
所以我們設計了「Heatwave」一款簡易穿戴的救生衣,具有發熱及保暖效果。
將救生衣增加發熱機能,為落水者提供更長時效的保暖效果,特別採用無需電力的物理發熱方式,解決漏電的安全隱患,並改善了市面上救生衣的穿戴及活動便利性的問題。
並且針對物理性發熱的方式進行調查,選擇了「生石灰粉加水」的方式。
生石灰粉遇水前不會發熱,且相較於其他方案,其環境友好性及價格較為優越。在適當比例下,可達到恰如其分的加熱效果。
穿戴的部分則以 更方便的方式去製作,只需三個步驟就能穿戴,並且在頭部後方製作了靠墊,能讓使用者在水中漂浮時更加舒適的支撐頭部。

To address this issue, we've designed the Heatwave, a life jacket that is easy to wear and provides both heating and insulation.
Adding the heating function in the life jacket, to extend more survival time . To avoid electrical leakage issues and ensure user safety, our product will be no electric required. We’re using physically heat-generating to achieve our design objectives . Additionally, to address the existing life jacket problem of inconvenient wearing and restricted movement.
In exploring physical heating methods, "quicklime mixed with water" was chosen.
Quicklime does not generate heat until it comes into contact with water, and compared to other options, it is more environmentally friendly and cost-effective. With the correct proportions, it can achieve an appropriate heating effect.
The wearing process only require three steps. A floating cushion design at the back of the head provide users with more comfortable head support while floating in the water.
