街道的老舊電線桿旁邊擺著一台販賣機。販賣機裡面住著七種口味的飲料罐子，每種飲料都有自己的房子，每當有飲料被購買，就會出現機器手臂，把準備出售的罐子帶到包裝室進行包裝，最後經由一條連著販賣機外部的取物口的溜滑梯溜下，並完成出貨，且販賣機內部會有銷量計算器，負責累計各個飲料被購買的次數。罐子們都很期待自己被買走的那天，除了他——黑麥汁。
黑麥汁是這台販賣機裡最不受喜愛的口味，日復一日的，黑麥汁只能看著其他飲料的銷量逐漸增加，而自己永遠都是零，反覆的經歷期待後又失望的心情，黑麥汁的心態也漸漸變得扭曲。他變得看不起那些期待被買走的罐子，黑麥汁將他的忿怒發洩在其他罐子上，他開始對他們惡作劇，欺負其他罐子、毆打他們，甚至是阻止他們出貨。他的惡行惡狀讓販賣機的其他罐子們討厭他，他變成了這台販賣機裡的小壞 guy。某次，又有人來買飲料了，螢幕顯示的飲料當然不是黑麥汁，他想阻止飲料被機器手臂夾走，不料黑麥汁也一同被帶到包裝室，黑麥汁一個不小心的也被推向溜滑梯，一起送出販賣機來到了取物口。最後販賣機外面的人類只拿走了其他飲料，而黑麥汁就這樣被獨自遺留在那裡，成為了沒有人要的小壞 guy。
Next to the old utility poles on the street stands a vending machine with seven different flavors of drinks inside. Each drink has its own designated slot. Whenever a purchase is made, a robotic arm retrieves the selected can and takes it to the packaging room before it slides down a chute for collection. Inside, a sales counter tracks the popularity of each drink.
Rye Juice, the least popular flavor, observes as other drinks consistently outsell it. Enduring this cycle, Rye Juice's attitude darkens, leading it to bully and sabotage the other cans. Its behavior earns the ire of its counterparts, making it the troublemaker of the vending machine.
During one purchase, Rye Juice tries to prevent another drink from being selected but inadvertently gets carried to the packaging room and eventually slides down the chute with the purchased drink. However, the customer only takes the other drinks, leaving Rye Juice behind, unwanted and alone.
