竹樂-動與靜 藝文展演空間新建，為甚麼在高雄美術館上方基地做藝文展演的空間呢?近幾年高雄市政府積極推廣音樂類的活動，南高雄的部分時常舉辦在駁二、高雄流行音樂中心，北高雄會舉辦在世運主場館及巨蛋，南高雄有戶外的表演空間北高雄卻沒有，所以我們想為北高雄新增一個戶外的展演空間，也希望在高美館這基地能新增動態的活動來活躍這片居住人口多卻極為靜態的地，另外也利用輕軌以及火車站這些大眾運輸來吸引各地人潮。為甚麼取名為竹樂?在美術館的西側有一條道路為馬卡道路，在以前台灣有一個族名為馬卡道族，他們活躍在台灣西南部，在他們的語言裡TAKAO譯為竹簍，音接近於高雄的舊名打狗，我們希望人們走在馬卡道路看向竹架構的建物，能聯想到我們台灣的原住民，另外我們希望藉由竹架構來降低碳排放量，不再是利用鋼筋混凝土或是鐵構件來新建建築物，再來我們也希望可以利用竹子可變性高的特性，為了達到動(可移動)與靜，能在基地內部各地點利用同樣構件有更多不同的效果。

There is a road on the west side of the museum called Maka Road. In the past, there was a tribe in Taiwan named Makadao. They were active in southwestern Taiwan. In their language, TAKAO is translated as Bamboo The pronunciation of "竹篓" is close to Kaohsiung's old name of Dagou. We hope that when people walk on Maca Road and look at the bamboo-framed buildings, they can think of Taiwan's aborigines. In addition, we hope to use bamboo frames to reduce carbon emissions and no longer It is to use reinforced concrete or iron components to build new buildings.
