在荔枝的年度收成中,常會面臨荔枝椿象等害蟲的危害,使得種植和收成變得更加困難,直接影響了產量和品質,民眾也會因此導致受傷,甚至有誤殺的原生種紅姬緣椿象的問題。為了讓民眾更認識荔枝椿象,本專題以永續農業設計推廣教育為價值核心,我們以外來種荔枝椿象製作每個演化階段的仿真組裝模型及圖文DM,通過插圖和圖文編排的摺頁手冊傳遞關於荔枝椿象相關知識,搭配防治拼圖整合學習成果,能自行體驗與自主學習的教材,達到寓教於樂的目的,為使用者提供全面且具教育性的互動體驗。希望藉由本次專題,使民眾能區分害蟲和一般蟲類,也體會農民在種植中所面臨的辛勞和危險,引起大眾對於荔枝椿象相關教育的價值和重要性的關注,更全面地了解害蟲生態和有效防治方法,並推動農業保育的理念,最終提高農業生產的穩定性和品質。
