全球暖化為世界各地帶來災難,台南屬於氣候異常第一波就會受災的城市,台南市大部分的土地來自曾文溪沖積扇淤積台江陸化後而形成的土地,平均只高於海平面一到兩公尺。從自然史歷史人文及都市發展來看台南與水密不可分。其中又以曾文溪口的塑膠汙染及陸地退化最為嚴重,所以將這裡當成一個實驗基地,在這裡投入保護生態及土地的生態浮島,收集海洋廢棄物,從源頭減少塑膠微粒的產生,以維持大自然的乾淨及還給生物安全的生活環境。
Global warming brings disasters to various parts of the world, and Tainan is among the cities that will be affected by the first wave of abnormal climate events. Most of Tainan's land comes from the accumulation of sediments from the Zengwen River, forming land after the silting of the Taijiang River. On average, it is only one to two meters above sea level. From the perspective of natural history, human history, and urban development, Tainan is closely tied to water. Among them, plastic pollution and land degradation at the mouth of the Zengwen River are particularly severe. Therefore, this area is being used as an experimental base to implement ecological floating islands for protecting ecosystems and land. These islands will collect marine debris and reduce the generation of plastic micro-particles at the source, in order to maintain the cleanliness of nature and provide a safe living environment for organisms.
